Yesterday we went to Auckland for the day. The main purpose was to pick up Scott's driver's licence - more on that later - but we also met up with my relatives Angela and David who are visiting NZ for a few weeks from England. We had a great afternoon on the waterfront with surprising sunny weather (the forcast had called for rain). Our evening was spent with Theresa and Brian and their kids - friends of friends that have been super helpful and great to us!
Highlights of the day included having a nice lunch and walk with Angela and David, celebrating Cooper's 3rd birthday at McDonalds (yay for Scott, haha), and exciting city smells for Dexter.
Low points included driving in Auckland city traffic and paying for downtown parking - reminding us again why we are living in a small town!! The worst was driving into a parkade and hitting the "you're too tall for this parkade" sign. Ugh. Still stressed!

Dexter found a smell he wanted all over him... Luckily not one we could smell |

Jacqui's UK relatives! Great timing for them to visit NZ |

The moon was super bright for the drive home, so I had to take a picture from our backyard of the ocean! |
