Epic powder day!

Today we hit the slopes for Scott's annual birthday ski trip! Unfortunately Kicking Horse was a bit too far, so we celebrated at Snowplanet instead. We were super lucky and there had been a fresh dump of snow so the conditions were excellent! Haha...thanks snow machines!

Was jealous reading everybody's facebook updates about skiing, so it was nice to strap on the skis! Even if it was for the saddest runs ever. Was good to get our gear re-assembled too. We had to take off the bindings in order to fit our skis and board into the shipping box. But unfortunately we did this in a rush (at a shop) in vancouver so we didn't know how to put them back together. The guy at the pro shop helped us out with my skis...they were oddly complicated and we might have screws left over...can't tell =\ But they worked! Scott's snowboard bindings were easy, but his skis we need to do elsewhere because the pro shop guy didn't have the right tools. Sigh.

Indoor skiing was pretty funny. The hill is even smaller than COP, which is ridiculous! We only did about 6 or 7 runs before getting bored, but it was still a fun time :) Scott did some of the jumps, which is pretty much the only thing you can do to make the runs interesting. I am chicken and wasn't into the audience  though, so I just did the 5 second cruise to the bottom instead, hehe.

Worth trying once, but don't need to return! At least we went on cheap 2 for 1 monday and got the evening ticket!

Getting ready for the slopes!

The slopes (if you can call it that)

Riding the platter to the top

Stoked for the ride down!

Yay we went skiing :)
