Cleaning our new house

We moved into our first rental house on Wednesday, yay! The only non-yay part is that the place hasn't been lived in in awhile, and is therefore covered in cobwebs and dust. It's a bit sucky that it wasn't all cleaned up when we moved in :(

So we have spent the last couple days cleaning everything....it's a lot of work! Good thing we have lots of spare time, haha.

Also apparently there are a lot of bugs around here....spiders, mosquitos, flies, and gross other things. I also found a slug in our living room today...wtf?!? I'm trying to be brave and it's mostly working out. Hopefully things get better now that the house is more cleaned out.

Laundry is an interesting experience too, hanging clothes on the line outside to dry. I miss our dryer! Although it is amazing how quickly things dry outside here! As long as you take them in before it rains...

Okok enough whining. Overall it's pretty awesome here! We are getting settled and homing up this place. It's only a short drive to the beach and I can't wait until it's warm enough for swimming! (It's almost there...Scott has been in already.) On Sunday there is a fun run along the beach at low tide, and we signed up today! We will probably do the walk instead though, since neither of us is in run mode. Dexter gets to come too!

Dexter loves the view from his new backyard
Workstation's all set up!

  3. I'm getting pretty brave! I no longer make Scott attend to every bug (just the super frightening ones...)

Ya it's nice to have so many windows...lots of sunlight!
